CITY AND VENUE
Leuven is a versatile city. On the one hand, it has an age-old heritage: the university is the oldest in the country, as is the Botanic Garden, not to mention the incredible Gothic architecture. On the other hand, the university fills the city to the brim with young people. They bring a thrilling, innovative vibe with them. Faculty Club is a unique event location, within walking distance of Leuven’s lively city centre. The breathtaking setting of the restored buildings of the Grand Beguinage was made UNESCO World Heritage in 2000. Faculty Club is easy to access via the ring road around Leuven. There is a free car park on site.
The Conference Dinner on Friday 4 June will take place at the unique and impressive venue ‘De Hoorn’, a place where the famous ‘Stella Artois’ beer was brewed during years. A tasteful Belgian menu will be served. Live music will add a cosy atmosphere in which you can meet your colleagues.
Join us for a pre-dinner walk, an active apero-experience ‘A taste of Leuven’. Our local guides will show the highlights of the city and will surprise you with fascinating stories. We will visit some local artisans/foodmakers that will serve some tasty Leuven specialties and drinks. The guide tour starts at the Begijnhof Hotel and will lead us to the dinner location.
Return-shuttles will be provided in the evening.
While registering for the Meeting, you can book your room in Begijnhof Hotel Leuven, only a few steps away from the Meeting location ‘Faculty Club’. We have agreed on special rates for this Meeting:
